I’ve had lots of ideas this week about videos I’d love to create for you – videos just to say HI, or ones to invite you to something special and exclusive I might have up my fluffy pink sleeve (more on that in a moment), but . . .There’s been this huge yuck-feeling-in-my-tummy resistance.
This block.
After some honest soul searching, I discovered I’ve actually enslaved myself . . .
To my BRAND.
What?
Yes, lovely, it’s true! The aspirational, fairytale-come-true ME you see in beautiful photos in dreamy locations (And next month I’m planning photo shoots in London and Paris!) has been worried about letting the luxuriating-in-her-fuzzy-pink-bathrobe-all-day ME come out and play.
But this morning, as Moses told the tyrant Pharaoh, those thousands of years ago in Egypt, I made a Let-My-People-Go type of declaration. (And it feels amazing!)
Which is why I’m saying Bonjour today in my fuzzy pink bathrobe. (And that’s fruit tea in the glass by the way; why be ordinary? 😉 )
Because I want to be liberated! I don’t want to have to spend an hour doing my hair and makeup (if it’s not already done) just so I can talk to you for a few minutes.
And here’s the thing: I want you to feel free, too! We have so many roles that we as women play – daughter, wife, mother, neighbor, business owner, friend, etc., and you should be empowered to express all the beautiful facets that make you amazingly you.
No more enslavement to any one of them for ANY REASON! No more saying things like:
* My business brand is fancy and elegant, therefore if I’m lounging at home I can’t share a video message of something on my heart because my make-up’s not done (ahem).
* I’m a mother, therefore I can’t allot a couple of hours to follow my passions each week.
* I’m a nice person (or generous friend, or afraid of having money conversations, or fill-in-the-blank) therefore I can’t charge more for my services.
Au contraire, mon amie!
If you feel awkward, uncomfortable, guilty, afraid or worried in any way about setting or RAISING your prices, I WANT TO SEE YOU LIBERATED from that.
