Unfounded fear.
It’s likely lurking behind every decision before you – or every idea you conceive.
It’s Public Enemy #1 (or at least in the top 3) to the entrepreneur.
It stops us from so. many. things. that would be awesome for our bottom line, not to mention things that could turn out to be fun – if we could get to the other side of what’s scary.
So how can we kick Unfounded Fear to the curb?
Weellll, one option is: Fear Setting. Kinda like goal setting . . . but not.
(‘Twas first made popular by Tim Ferris in his book, The Four Hour Workweek.)
The general idea is to “set” your fears in the same way that you would normally “set” your goals.
Start by making a list of these fears. Every single one of them.
All the way down to, “I might be so embarrassed that I give up everything for hermitage”
Planning on trying something new? Then write down everything that could go wrong and why that scares you.
Next, write down all the ways you might deal with those things going wrong if they did.
And now write down how likely each of those things is to go wrong in the first place:
5. Totally. 4. Likely. 3. 50/50. 2. Unlikely. 1. Don’t make me laugh!
Writing down your fears and making them “real” often robs them of their power – especially when you have a plan in place for how you would deal with things.
You often end up realizing these fears probably won’t even transpire.
Hence why we call them, UNFOUNDED FEARS.
Oh boy do I love Fighting for Freedom from Fear with my clients!
Here are some of the actual fears I’ve helped my clients slay this week:
- Being afraid of setting a healthy boundary with a fellow entrepreneur (What will they think of me?).
- Being afraid of putting her work on display (What will they think of me?).
- Being afraid to share her truth on social media (What will they think of me?).
- Being afraid to raise her prices (What will they think of me?).
- Being afraid to courageously, but tough-love-ly, coach her client (What will they think of me?).
- Being afraid to reach out for a visibility exploding opportunity (What will they think of me?)
HOLY SMOKES – I’m seeing a pattern!
Like I said, , your fears are Public Enemy #1 to your business (and we ALL have them) . . .
Especially when we’re moving to the next level, which hopefully you are!
The absolute FASTEST way to overcome these fears is through 1:1 support – and I’m excited to share that I now have a couple of spots available for my Private Coaching program.

I’d love to do some Freedom Fighting with you. 😀
